Is it now routine for Policeofficers to be armed,because,i just saw?
Are Police Officers now routinly armed patroling our streets?The reason i ask is because just seen two Officers walking down Kensington High Street,with either high powered rifle,or machine gun..Both officers were relaxed ,chatting to odd passer by...was near that Royal residence where Diana lived about 1/2 mile from the Royal house but didnt get feeling they were on special duty their...A motor cavaclade passed through Kengsington high street,looking full of "important people",sure the two officers were not involved with that..Know red cars are armed and every station has armed response unit at hand..Never seen armed officers wandering about though...
I am more worried that policemen tend to shoot people dead at random (eg menendez, that guy carrying a table leg).
Less than 100 years ago, gentlemen were often armed and the police only carried truncheons. The law-abiding used to have nothing to fear from the police. We tend to avoid them now.
